Driver/Warehouse Assistant
Summary
Drive MediSend International truck to hospitals, clinics and other locations to collect medical supply and equipment donations. Pick up, receive, load, unload and stage medical supplies and equipment. Move equipment and product pallets, lift and stack boxes, stage and prepare contents for shipping.
Responsibilities
- Drive truck to pick up, load, unload and stage medical supplies and equipment.
- Perform pre-trip truck inspection and scheduled maintenance.
- Complete pickup paperwork and submit in a timely manner.
- Use computer to generate labels for incoming supplies and equipment.
- Stack and shrink-wrap boxes to create pallets.
- Efficiently and accurately stage medical supplies and/or equipment for loading.
- Prepare boxes, pallets and medical equipment for shipping.
- Clean, label and tag equipment.
- Use forklift and pallet jack to move pallets and equipment.
- Keep equipment charged and clean.
- Move waste from warehouse to dumpsters.
- Clean and maintain work area.
- Perform office maintenance when requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Valid Texas driver's license and good driving record. Must be insurable on company policy.
- Read/use maps or other written driving directions.
- Experience with computers. Must be able to use computers and other warehouse technology.
- Must be able to lift 35-50 pounds and have the ability to move heavier equipment. Continuous standing, lifting, bending, crouching and twisting.
- Forklift certification or training.
- Knowledge of medical products helpful.
- Prior delivery driver and warehouse experience a must. Driving and warehouse duties are of equal importance.
- Knowledge of DFW area.
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
- Must pass back ground check.
