Biomedical Repair Lab
Hospitals, medical facilities and manufacturers upgrading or replacing biomedical equipment donate it to MediSend to be shipped to developing countries in medical aid and emergency relief programs. The biomedical equipment that is donated is useable, but often in need of repair.
MediSend has opened a state-of-the art biomedical repair laboratory in its Dallas headquarters. The large, well-equipped laboratory, funded by the ExxonMobil Foundation, has the capacity to repair and refurbish all biomedical equipment that MediSend ships to developing countries worldwide, and also serves as a training facility where students from developing countries obtain first-hand professional education and experience working with complicated biomedical equipment.
The repaired equipment is guaranteed in good working condition, and receives a Certificate of Approval from the MediSend Biomedical Repair Laboratory. Shipments also contain spare parts and manuals, as well as the supplies required to perform the specific tests or treatments.
The biomedical repair lab is a major step in our ability to help improve healthcare conditions in developing countries.
